As a Director of Strategic Services at Fishnet Security, Alex Pezold is a strategic advisor to CSOs and Executive Management in the Central Region surrounding Fishnet Security Information Assurance Service offerings. Alex is used as a strategic advisor to CSOs of medium to enterprise sized accounts by listening, discussing, and supporting their organization’s long-term security initiatives leverages knowledge gained from previous experience in Financial, Beverage, Government, and Telecommunications organizations.
Prior to his current role at FishNet Security, Alex was the ISO for a financial organization in the mid-west. While there, the his major responsibilities included developing the Security Program and Architecture, Risk Management, PCI Compliance, SAS 70 Type 2 Audits, Security Awareness Training, CSIRT Team Lead, Policy and Procedure Life Cycle, among other more minor activities. He has also held positions as a Security Consultant at MasterCard International, Anheuser-Busch, and the Department of Commerce in Washington, DC.
Alex is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and holds Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) certifications for Designated Approving Authority and Information Security System Professional. He obtained a Masters of Science in Computer Science, emphasizing in Information Security, and participated in the Federal Scholarship for Service Cyber Corps Program sponsored by the National Science Foundation and Department of Defense.
