Richard Oltmann is a senior consultant and principal instructor for OakTree Software in Tulsa Oklahoma. He has been in the training sector for over 7 years and specializes in the messaging and collaboration and AD fields. Richard has been working with SharePoint Portal since 2001 and was one of the first trainers in the US to train SharePoint and has been involved in numerous installations and upgrades of the product. He is also an active member of the SharePoint User group. Richard was a proctor for the hands on labs for TechEd 2004. Richard was just recently elected president of the Oklahoma chapter of the IAMCP (International association of Microsoft Certified Partners ) |

 | SharePoint Fault Tolerance and Recovery - Lessons Learned
As SharePoint becomes more and more a enterprise wide mission critical system, the ability to guarantee uptime is essential. Much of the info available on Creating Fault Tolerant SharePoint is vendor biased or incomplete. We will look at this subject from a SQLServer perspective as well as the SharePoint engine itself. We will also look at what has to be redundant in order to guarantee access to the SharePoint Farm.
