Vance is a web developer specializing in the latest web technologies and trends, especially object-oriented PHP5, MySQL, Javascript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.  Vance is a motivated self-starter who created his first website at the age of 12.  Driven to learn more about the web to make better websites, Vance taught himself programming with PHP and MySQL back when PHP3 was new at the age of 13.  After discovering the power of server-side languages, he has never looked back and continues to work on projects and websites to make them better with the latest technologies.  Since PHP5's release in late 2004, Vance has been focused on and obsessed with object-oriented programming and the advantages it has over the traditional PHP procedural coding style.

Vance currently works at Back40 Design, Inc. as a programmer, working on both client and internal projects, and most recently lead the programming team through a complete procedural to object-oriented programming conversion for Back40's new Content Management System called Javelin.
