Danica Jones, Social Media / Internet Marketing Strategist, OakTree Software
Social Media is not just another mode of communication for me. Since as early as 1999, I've harnessed the power of social media to connect with potential customers and share products. With early success sharing and selling my own art and handmade products, I have since continued to use social media as a tool for enhanced communication in educational and business settings. From the study of target demographics to the application of social marketing strategies and trend forecasting, I have developed an effective, individualized approach to social media marketing that I enjoy sharing with my customers. Whether you are looking to re-route advertising dollars to a more measurable advertising medium or just looking to enhance your current advertising and marketing strategies, I can and will help your business thrive online.
Social Media Strategies for Small Business Owners
A take on my session from last year, this session will update business owners and individuals on the latest best practices for social media marketing, including how to optimize profiles, how to create content that works for YOUR target demographic, how to actively engage followers to create and build on lasting relationships and positive brand association, and how to read social media analytics (including Google's new Social Media feature and how to add "events" to better track results) to determine month-to-month strategy changes.
Killer Content: Spreading Great Ideas With An Intriguing Voice
Session will build on initial Social Media Best Practices session, talking in depth about the importance of great content for both business owners and individuals looking to create a strong personal brand for career development. I will review strategies for content curation including use of platforms to spread content dissemination out through the day to save time and maintain a steady presence, discuss ways to develop original content that appeals to specific audiences, and go over ways to get creative with blogging and video content to help add more dimension to personal and professional branding.
