A seasoned veteran in software development with experience in a broad variety of industries and technologies, Floyd is a frequent presenter at Tulsa software community user groups. This is Floyd's second consecutive year to present at Tulsa TechFest. His engaging presentation style mixes ridiculous memes and movie quotes with hard-hitting passion for the craft of software development.
Floyd has been programming since age 9 when he first learned how to draw shapes with the Logo programming language. He cut his teeth in the software industry doing part-time work in software QA: writing testware, crafting sample applications, and authoring technical documentation for a digital imaging company during his coursework at Oklahoma State University. He has a BS in Computer Science, and some post-graduate work.
