Tulsa TechFest 2015
Ken White, Test Automation Lead / QA III, BOK Financial
Ken White is a 23 year software testing veteran with more than 15 of those years spent doing test automation in one form or another. He spent two decades in Austin's startup pressure cooker before being whisked away to Bank of Oklahoma in Tulsa to head up their test automation program. In his free time he likes to work on projects in his garage that may or may not involve a fire extinguisher nearby.
Test Automation 101
Getting started with Software Test Automation can be confusing for testers, managers and even the development team. There's a lot to consider: choosing the correct tool, designing or using an existing framework, avoiding time sinks and bad habits, managing expectations, picking the right test cases to automate, deciding who should use the tools and what training they need, etc. This session is designed to give testers or interested managers enough information to jump start a test automation project.
